Local food and drink
If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Thorpeness, the Thorpeness Hotel is a great choice. Beautifully situated at the edge of Thorpeness Meare, and the golf course.
Along the coast at Aldeburgh we recommend The Brudenell Hotel and its AA two rosette restaurant overlooking the beach, or The White Lion Hotel which has recently undergone a complete renovation.
For self catering the coastal area has many award winning shops where fresh local produce such as fish and vegetables, and homemade bread and pastries can be bought.
There are also supermarkets closeby including Waitrose at Saxmundham, and Co-ops at Aldeburgh and Leiston.
Thorpeness Hotel Our cosy and relaxing hotel restaurant overlooks the golf course and the 3rd tee, which makes it a favourite spot to check out our golfers swings! ....
The two bars serve all day beverages and meals and in Summer dine al fresco on the terrace or in the gardens, overlooking the Meare.
