Summer activities
During the summer holidays, Thorpeness hosts a full programme of events for the whole family to enjoy. Events include tennis tournaments and tuition, beach barbecues, family suppers and discos, treasure hunts and the annual regatta in August which takes place on on the picturesque Meare (watch out for pirates!)
The environment is safe and fun-packed, where children can enjoy the magic and simplicity of a traditional seaside holiday.
To join in the fun, you will need to become a member of the Country Club - both annual subscriptions and temporary weekly memberships are available.
Apartment guests enjoy Social Membership, allowing access to the bars and entertainment. Membership is required to play tennis.
Family suppers & entertainment
Family suppers will be held every Wednesday night throughout August. Traditional meals or barbecues will be served, and evening entertainment will be provided, such as Scottish Dancing, quizzes and bingo,movie nights and themed evenings.

Children
All parents are required to complete a Parental Consent form at the beginning of the season, to cover all activities that their children may be involved in.
Our Yellow Shirt and Blue Shirt Supervisors attend both health and safety and first aid courses and are CRB checked.

Get together with family and friends and book a private party or celebration during your stay. From formal functions, including weddings to informal birthday or drinks parties, the options are endless.
