Head of PR and communications
Our head of PR is a media relations expert with a 20-year career spanning national and local journalism, charity communications and agency account handling.
Starting out as a local news reporter on regional papers, Mark spent eight years as a sub editor at Sky News – reporting on the biggest stories of the day across various platforms, including the Sky News website. A move into charity communications at Action for Children and then Save the Children saw Mark use his considerable journalistic experience to generate coverage and content for major corporate partners including Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, IKEA, Morrisons and Aviva.
At Shorthose Russell , Mark provides strategic communications advice and guidance, as well as practical PR services to a range of clients, including: Hoseasons, Thai Airways, Lovewell Blake, WREN, Kelling Heath Holiday Park and Zaks American Diners.
Away from work Mark has his hands full with two young daughters and enjoys makings lists, spring cleaning and taking things to the dump. His desk is very tidy...
