We’re proud of our work for Mills & Reeve, a growing law firm with an excellent reputation. It started five years ago with a new logo and rebrand and since then we have been designing and producing a wide range of print, advertising and e-communications for all sectors across the firm, including higher education, property and corporate as well as in-house communications and HR.

Our full agency service also includes creative copywriting enabling us to deliver quickly on anything from general day-to-day requirements to complex and strategic projects including the recent mini brand for higher education - ’forward thinking’.

The Shorthose Russell design team were approached by Maritime Heritage East to copywrite, illustrate, design and print a report that detailed maritime collections in the eastern region. The turn around was tight - just 4 weeks from raw data landing on our doorstep, to a conference where the 125 page illustrated report would be handed to 500 delegates.

Our design team are experts in interpreting ‘dry’ text in an accessible way, which is exactly what we did here. We presented the survey findings in an engaging, beautifully illustrated arrangement that simultaneously appealed to museum curators and a wider audience interested in maritime heritage.
Design

As a leading brand, Hoseasons demand a good understanding of their product, first class media contacts and, most importantly, senior, experienced people working on the account on a day-to-day basis. That’s why they work with the PR team at Shorthose Russell. We set up a bespoke in-house press office and launched all their holiday brochures to national and regional newspapers, magazines and TV and radio stations.

We then developed a series of creative feature ideas for the key national titles to accompany a programme of themed and last minute news releases. In addition, a trade campaign was also developed based around raising awareness of the Hoseasons brand and establishing them as a leading supporter of travel agents in the UK.

The 30 press trips Shorthose Russell were set as an initial target reached 60+ within the first 12 months of our involvement - with over 20 national press visits. Our work for Hoseasons also achieved a Chartered Institute of Public Relations award for best consumer PR campaign 2007.
