Tara Welsh
Office Manager
Tara worked at Norwich Union in various different areas for 18 years, including 10 years as a PA to the Directors’ of Marketing, Corporate Partnerships and finally Norwich Union Personal Finance.
Tara took ’time out’ and returned to Norwich City College to complete an Access to Natural Sciences course where she enjoyed being a mature student - but admits reality needed to be addressed! She then joined a marketing agency as PA to the MD before joining Shorthose Russell in 2007 where she assists the Managing Director and takes care of the team as office manager.

Mark Harvey
Managing Director
Mark has 20 years industry experience in a range of positions developing and delivering marketing communications for blue chip brands. His client side career concluded as Head of Brand and Communications for the £250m e-business norwichunion.com. Since moving agency side he has specialised in delivering strategic communications advice for leading brands in the public and private sectors, including the National Trust, Regional Development Agencies, Mills & Reeve, Bernard Matthews and a range of regional and local businesses. Mark is member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Q: Is Thursday night the new Friday night?
A: It’s hard to tell when you get to an age where a good night out ends at 8.30 but I’m guessing the answer is yes!
Hayley Dobson
Account Manager
Hayley Dobson, Account Director, has experience in all aspects of marketing and has considerable experience client side working as Marketing Manager at a well known national law firm as well as a blue chip financial services company and premium car brand. Hayley is qualified with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her client experience at Shorthose Russell ranges from Bedford Lodge and Barnham Broom Hotels, Kelling Heath, Zaks restaurants, Watsons property services, Visit Norfolk and Visit Norwich.

A:A Malteser - a small, round, handful that’s been around a few years but still popular!
Lisa Lincoln
Account Director
Lisa has spent over 20 years in the creative industry working with a variety of blue chip international and national clients such as Canary Wharf Development,
Norwich Union, AMP Australia, and
PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lisa Joined Shorthose Russell as a Marketing Account Director in 2008.
Q: Is Thursday night the new Friday night?
A: Every night’s Friday night!
Laura Harper
Graphic Designer
Laura has seven years design experience both agency and client side, working with brands such as Jordans Cereals and Gallo Wines. Laura spent two years designing magazines including Beers of the World, Whiskey Magazine, Cigar buyer and Scotland Magazine and has also worked in-house designing adverts for internal collateral.
Q: If life is like a box of chocolates which
chocolate are you?
A: Big purple from quality streets - everyone’s favourite, bright and colourful, sweet and satisfying with a little nutty centre!
Steve Rowland
Director and Head of Creative
Steve has worked for almost 20 years as a graphic designer producing creative solutions both above and below the line in Norwich and London for a range of brands. His experience ranges from Anglian Windows to Zaks American Restaurants (infact just look at our client list and Steve has worked on all the accounts at one time or another) with a few blue chip brands in between: Honda Cars UK, BMW (GB), Volvo Cars (UK), Lloyds TSB, Orange, and The National Trust, to name a few. Public Sector brands include EEDA, NMAS, MLA and Norfolk County Council. Steve is a Director and co-owner of the business and heads up the creative team.

A: Forrest Gump - because you never know what you’re gona get! or is that my favorite film?
Petra Boyce
Account Director
Petra’s marketing agency career kicked off in London, in 1988. Then it was all about cars, insurance and charities, looking after clients such as Sun Alliance Insurance, Fiat, Renault, Citroen and World Wildlife Fund.
In 1994 Petra moved to Norwich and joined The Russell Organisation, and for four years worked intensively on the Volvo Car UK account. The move to Shorthose Russell followed and with that the opportunity to explore creative products for clients such as Mills and Reeve, a growing UK law firm, The National Trust and public sector projects for Norfolk County Council and EEDA. As part of her portfolio she also looks after Thorpeness and Aldeburgh Hotels.
Q: If you were sent to an unpopulated desert Island
what one ’thing’ would you take?
A: Harrison Ford to build me a house
Rachel Jackson
PR Account Director
Rachel has seven years agency experience in Public Relations working on international, national and regional clients. She has worked for clients in both public and private sectors and specialises in consumer media relations. Rachel’s client experience includes; Visa Europe, L’Oreal, General Electric, Merial Animal Health, Gabor and The Equality and Human Rights Commission. Rachel joined Shorthose Russell as Account Director in 2008 where she works on a varied range of national and regional clients. Rachel is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

what one ’thing’ would you take?
A: Kitchen Roll - its versatility knows no bounds
Peter Joyner
Director and Head of PR
Peter spent ten years working on PR in London, Cambridge and Norwich. Client experience includes everything from Philips electronics to Bernard Matthews and First Choice to KPMG. He has developed, managed and implemented successful national and international PR campaigns across a range of sectors - all of which have been focused on marrying clients aims with a firm understanding of the media. Peter is a Director and co-owner of the business and heads up the PR team.
Q: Is Thursday night the new Friday night?
A: With a toddler early nights are the new Friday nights
Lindsay Chapman
Production Manager
Lindsay comes from a publishing background where she worked as a Production Editor in Oxford. She joined the Shorthose Russell team as a Production Manager. Within this role Lindsay is responsible for media buying (building up good relationships with local newspapers, radio, outdoor media companies to negotiate rates and planning campaigns) and all aspects of print and production. Lindsay also looks after a range of accounts and is also something of a whizz when it comes to SEO and PPC.
Q: If life is like a box of chocolates which chocolate are you?
A: Difficult question! From a box of Cadbury Roses (my favourite) I’d have to be the mini dairy milk - small (like me!) and not too complicated.
Amanda Bunn
PR Account Executive
In 2005, Amanda graduated from Norwich City College with a degree in Marketing . Her first role was with The Money Centre, the UK’s largest independent buy-to-let mortgage broker, as an Events and Campaigns Administrator which shortly developed into the role of Marketing and PR Coordinator. Within this role Amanda implemented national PR campaigns and managed a quarterly newsletter which went out to more than 120,000 people. In July 2008, Amanda joined Shorthose Russell as PR Account Executive where she now works on a varied range of national and regional clients.
Q: Karaoke or hoke-koke?
A: I love a bit of both but if I had to choose it would be Karaoke......this does not mean I am good singer though!
Kayla Dunne
Account Director PR
Kayla has fifteen years agency experience spanning consumer, corporate and trade campaigns, strategic brand development, partnership / third party marketing and event management. She worked in London agencies for eleven years with brands such as B&Q, Vauxhall Motors, Knorr, Procter & Gamble, ICI, SC Johnson and National Express. Since working in Norwich, Kayla has headed up PR teams for clients such as Pret A Manger, Britannia Building Society, Aviva, Gabor Shoes, National Lottery and Norfolk County Council.
Through her work on global brands, Kayla’s role has seen her develop and implement award winning PR strategies as well as integrated marketing campaigns.
Kayla joined the Shorthose Russell PR team in 2009 where she works with a variety of national and regional clients specialising in media relations and event management.
