Frerejean Frères – Vive La WordPress!

Shorthose Russell has been getting very continental over the past few months, working closely with our friends across the channel, Frerejean Frères.

The French champagne brand, owned by the Frerejean-Tattinger brothers, approached us back in April needing a brand new website. Happy to help, we gladly took on their brief and set on our journey with them developing initial concepts, designs and content structure.

Their requirements were relatively straight forward. Very much in need of an online portfolio that reflected the quality of their product and brand, the brothers wished to create an almost panoramic feel to their new site, which would show off the beauty of their vineyards and cellars in the famous Côte des Blancs region and premier cru village of Grauves, located 10km south from Epernay. All of this would need to be simple to update, with a user-friendly content management system which could easily edit a bilingual site. With this is mind, it seemed obvious to implement WordPress as our website interface.

It’s fair to say both we and our client are chuffed with the end result; a website with fantastic full-width photography, content boxes which can be hidden to admire background image slideshows, an interactive Cuvées section, distributor map, and detailed history of the family and champagne – all whilst maintaining a look and feel of real quality. (Not that we’re blowing our own trumpet or anything). To see it for yourself, visit: frerejeanfreres.com
