At Shorthose Russell what we really love doing is helping business achieve more. We do this by placing ourselves at the heart of what our clients do, soaking up the things that make them tick and coming up with ideas and initiatives which help tackle that thorny problem.

Another way of describing this is consultancy.

We don’t often us this word though, as it makes us sound a little like expensive accountants, or people who don’t want to get their hands dirty and just want to advise. That couldn’t be further from the truth, but we know that sometimes it helps to have a critical friend who knows you well, but brings a different view.

Over the years we helped lots of businesses, large and small, create strategies which help them achieve their marketing goals. Often, but not always, the start point for this is an audit of what’s current happening. This helps focus the mind on identifying what works, and what doesn’t.

The next step is to put a series of clear actions in place to move things forward in a logical way. Sounds simple? That’s because often the most effective things are. The skill is understanding how the different marketing elements interact with each other and the priorities.

At this point we sometimes step away once the client had their roadmap for growth. Other times we help recruit new staff to support the next phase, and occasionally we stay on to help implement the strategy as part of an inhouse team.  Either way we always believe we help.
