We were tasked with transforming internal communication at Briar Chemicals, elevating their email newsletter from routine updates into a visually engaging and strategically crafted platform that inspires pride, delivers clarity, and fosters engagement by making complex initiatives and company news accessible, relevant, and meaningful for a diverse workforce.
Keeping the team informed, inspired, and involved
A bi-monthly newsletter was launched to:
- Establish an editorial process: Collaborative content planning sessions ensured topics aligned with business priorities.
- Embed a clear content strategy: Featuring employee interviews, project updates, thought leadership, and key dates kept readers engaged and involved.
- Improve accessibility: Professionally designed, structured for clarity, and delivered in a flipbook format to track engagement and reading time.
The results speak for themselves, with employees now spending an average of nine minutes of reading time per issue.
The newsletter has since become a cornerstone of company culture and is valued as more than just a communication tool, but as a source of employee pride.
