Cole & Son.
Founded in 1875 Cole & Son wallpaper collections reflect styles across the centuries and include some of the most historic wallpaper designs in the world. Cole & Sons have provided wallpaper for many historic houses including Buckingham Palace.
Brief.
To take an existing wallpaper design from the Martyn Lawrence Bullard collection and translate it into a large display to cover the entirety of the window at the Cole & Son pop up showroom at Paris Deco Off 2018.
Process.
A technically challenging task to take an existing complex Moroccan design and make it look like a seamless pattern across a store front, while at the same time incorporating the door from the design into the doorway of the showroom. The trellis element of the design was fret cut to allow you to see through into the showroom. An added complication was to make the design work from the inside of the showroom as well.
Results.
The client was so happy with the result that they requested further window vinyls that were displayed throughout their international stockists.
